Software License Agreement

Unified 1 Solutions Pte Ltd. provides the public with the service of online downloading the product manual of VAIO personal computer (hereinafter referred to as "the Product Manual") and the related software of VAIO personal computer and the files related to the software (hereinafter referred to as "the Related Software") (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") on its website, based on the following terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as "the Terms"), within the scope determined by U1SS.

Before you start using the service, please read these terms carefully, including the terms of disclaimer and limitation of liability, and then select "Agree" or "Disagree". If you agree to be bound by these terms, please select "Agree" and you can use the service. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms, please select "Disagree" and do not use the service. In any case, if you actually use the service, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms.

1. Limitation of use
Your use of the service shall be limited to personal and non-commercial use.

2. License
The product manual and the related software are protected by copyright law, international copyright treaties and other laws and treaties related to intellectual property rights. Based on these Terms, U1SS grants you a non-exclusive license to use the Related Software with your VAIO personal computer and provide the Service. The Related Software is licensed to you, not sold to you, so the ownership of the Related Software is not transferred to you.

3. Prohibited Behaviour
You may not perform any of the following acts on the Related Software or the User Manual of the product or the registered trademarks, unregistered trademarks or other commercial logos contained therein: modify, improve, convert, decompose, adapt, translate, assemble, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or otherwise create derivative products; copy, imitate, change, convert, decompose or otherwise use; sell, lease, distribute, transfer, display or otherwise disseminate, transmit or distribute; acts that infringe Sony's interests or goodwill; other acts that violate the law.

4. Software Use
The software involved in the use of the Service may be accompanied by or include the relevant User Software License Agreement. You should carefully read the User Software License Agreement (if any) and be subject to its terms and conditions.

5. Copyright
The copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights and related interests of the product manual and related software belong to Sony Corporation and/or VAIO Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "VAIO") and/or the original right holder who licenses VAIO to use, distribute or relicense the related software to third parties (hereinafter referred to as "Original Right Holder"). Except for the scope expressly licensed to you in accordance with these Terms, all rights related to the product manual and related software are reserved to VAIO and the original right holder.

6. No warranty
In providing the service, U1SS will take due care, but its obligation is limited to providing the product manual and related software as is. U1SS does not make any express or implied warranties for the service and the information, software, products, documents and related graphics contained therein, including but not limited to: - The completeness, reliability, effectiveness, timeliness, accuracy, merchantability, applicability and non-infringement of intellectual property rights of others for the service and the information, software, products, documents and related graphics contained therein; - The guarantee that there will be no interference, interruption or error when using the service and the information, software, products, documents and related graphics contained therein.

7. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, U1SS shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or other forms of loss, expense, liability or claim arising from or related to the use of the service.

8. Product Sales
U1SS's provision of the service does not mean that the product described in the product manual or the related software will be sold in your market or at a specific price and other terms. For relevant information, please visit the VAIO official website in Singapore. Once you purchase a VAIO personal computer, you will also be subject to the terms of the relevant sales contract and software license and other intellectual property terms.

9. Submission of Information
(1) U1SS may collect your personal information within its discretion in accordance with the "U1SS Privacy Policy" that U1SS separately indicates and obtains your consent;
(2) Except for the circumstances described in the preceding paragraph, U1SS does not want you to submit or send confidential or proprietary information through U1SS's website when using the service. The information you submit or send will be deemed non-confidential and non-proprietary, and U1SS does not assume any obligation or responsibility for it.

10. Termination
Without prejudice to any other rights, U1SS may terminate your license to use the Service if you violate these Terms. In such event, you must destroy and/or delete all copies of the Related Software and all its components.

11. Export Prohibition
You shall comply with all applicable domestic and international laws and regulations, international treaties applicable to the Related Software, and any other applicable export regulations of the Singapore and other countries.

12. Modification of Terms
U1SS has the right to modify or supplement these Terms at any time without prior notice, but will publish the modified or supplemented Terms on its website. You will be bound by the modified or supplemented Terms.

13. Service Updates
U1SS has the right to update or improve the Service at any time without prior notice. Unless otherwise stated, these Terms (as modified or supplemented) also apply to the updated or improved Service.

14. Others
U1SS aims to provide the Service to the Singapore public free of charge in accordance with these Terms. If you access U1SS's website and use the Service from outside Singapore, you shall determine and be responsible for it.
